Meet our Founder

Every movement starts with a story. UNMUTE began with one woman’s journey to rediscover her own voice—and help others do the same.

Former Director in the Federal Public Service of the Government of Canada, Yenga Ndinsil bears 25 years of corporate experience across both the private and public sectors. As a certified Coach, Professional Workshop Facilitator and Conflict Resolution Third-Party Neutral, she possesses the experience and tools to create safe, structured and meaningful spaces where real conversations can happen, and lasting change can begin. She is also a speaker, author and  podcaster on YouTube.            

But long before she was an executive, she was navigating her own journey – learning how to speak in rooms that didn’t always want to hear her, and advocating for fairness before she had permission to do so. Over time, she became an unofficial voice for those around her – especially colleagues who, like her, came from communities too often underrepresented or unheard. These experiences fueled her drive to advocate for colleagues, mentor others, and challenge cultures of silence. They would later shape the foundation of UNMUTE.

Her work has always focused on creating pathways for underrepresented voices to thrive.

Through UNMUTE, Yenga combines professional expertise, lived experience, and a passion for transformation to help others rise, lead, and be heard.
